2025 Scholars Circle Research Summit

I analyzed the Gulf’s sports-investment strategy, with a focus on Saudi Arabia, as a tool for diversifying non-oil GDP through tourism, media rights, and mega-events. My research synthesized case outcomes such as Qatar 2022 and Saudi Arabia’s 2034 plans, highlighting how infrastructure spending can boost GDP, create jobs, and drive sustained tourism growth. I also evaluated labor risks, noting how reliance on migrant workers during accelerated buildouts can lead to long hours, unsafe conditions, and wage abuse. I presented these findings in a 10-minute speech at the 2025 Scholars Circle Research Summit.
